Kiran's path to venture was shaped by an early obsession with science fiction. His curiosity about our world and the place we play in it drives his love for technology that expands what we can do, explore, and understand. Before investing, he experienced a bit of everything: biological research at labs, building mini-businesses in college, operating at a high-growth startup, and investing in software companies at Lead Edge Capital and Silversmith Capital Partners. He was the first graduate with Wharton's AI concentration, which has since become an official program at the school.
What excites him most: contrarian founders building "net new" categories: things that seem weird or impossible at first but eventually become core to how we live and work.
