Richard Kandel is a Partner at HOF Capital where he helps lead the firm’s growth-stage investment strategy. In addition to private investments, he also oversees the firm’s crossover initiatives, supporting portfolio companies as they transition into the public markets.
Prior to joining HOF, Richard led growth investments on behalf of several family offices and institutions, investing in private growth-stage technology companies such as Anaplan (acquired by Thoma Bravo), Arctic Wolf, Coupang (NYSE:CPNG), Grab (NASDAQ:GRAB), Rubrik (NYSE:RBRK), SentinelOne (NYSE:S), and others. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at HQ Capital, an alternative investment manager with over $10B in AUM.
Richard began his career at Thomas Weisel Partners within the firm’s technology investment banking and private equity divisions. He graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S. in Finance and is a non-practicing CPA.
